Herøya Industripark AS kicks off industrial cooperation with Bavaria
Great faith in a useful industrial cooperation: “We have great faith in the potential for developing a useful industrial cooperation between the industrial environments at Herøya Industrial Park in Norway’s Telemark region on the one hand, and Bavaria, Germany, on the other,” say cooperation partners Sverre Gotaas (from rear left), Director of Herøya Industripark AS (HIP AS), Per Stensland, Consultant at Invest in Norway, Cristina Gaertner, Director of InSITE BAVARIA (Bavaria) and Gard Madsen, Business Developer at HIP AS.
Herøya Industripark AS recently kicked off a new cooperation platform with InSiteBavaria (Bavaria) and Invest in Norway at its Herøya Industrial Park location.
“We are now up and running, and we invite industrial enterprises and environments in the Telemark region to join us in considering the new cooperation opportunities,” says Gard Madsen, Business Developer at Herøya Industripark AS (HIP AS).
Madsen reports that HIP AS is taking an active role in developing cooperation with companies in Bavaria, one of Germany’s biggest and most important industrial areas.
Why cooperation with Bavaria?
“The industrial areas in Bavaria and Telemark are a good match because they complement each other’s value chain”, Madsen explains. “Industrial enterprises in our region are mainly raw material producers, while in Bavaria, industry is more engaged in refining our raw materials into products.”
Useful industrial partnership
“Together with Per Stensland from Invest in Norway, we have long been on the lookout for areas outside Norway which could be a useful industrial partnership for HIP AS and the industrial environments in Herøya and Telemark,” Madsen continues.
HIP AS is strongly confident that Bavaria and Telemark are an extremely good match for cooperation. “We are now taking an active role and have assembled a good developer team together with Invest in Norway and InSiteBavaria. The aim is to build an industrial network which can help to strengthen our industrial region through international industrial cooperation,” Madsen concludes.
