Norsk Jernbanedrift AS is a turnkey supplier of contract and project planning services in all railway engineering fields. The company’s employees in Grenland work at a new office building in Gunneklev.
Norsk Jernbanedrift was established in 2005, with 13 members of staff as shareholders, most of them coming to the company from the Norwegian National Rail Administration. Norsk Jernbanedrift gained a new majority owner in 2011 in the shape of investment company Herkules Private Equity Fund III.
The company supplies services in the specialist fields of lines, signals and power supply, and it has “installation permits” for high-voltage systems limited to railway and tramway installations. Norsk Jernbanedrift has also been supplying project planning services since 2006.
Since its establishment, Norsk Jernbanedrift has undergone strong growth with excellent financial results. The company is split into four divisions for which the primary fields are contract and project planning services in all railway engineering fields.
The company’s business focuses emphatically on specialist knowledge and enthusiasm, and currently employs around 190 staff. In addition to its head office in Porsgrunn, Norsk Jernbanedrift has a branch office in Drammen and is also represented in Lillestrøm, Sarpsborg, Gol, Nærbø/Stavanger and Voss.
