The company plans to start production of high quality, carbon neutral, synthetic fuels. Construction start during 2022.
Nordic Electrofuel AS (NEF) was established in 2015, by founder and Chairman of the Board Rolf Bruknapp, with the vision to transform the vast renewable hydropower resources in Norway into liquified electricity.
NEF will produce high quality, carbon neutral, synthetic fuels and other fossil replacement products, based on water, carbon dioxide/monoxide and renewable power. The company will build the world first commercial Power-to-Liquid plant called E-fuel 1 at Herøya Industrial Park in Porsgrunn. The first demonstration industrial plant at HIP will produce 10 mill litres fuel per year of carbon neutral, synthetic hydrocarbon-based liquid e-fuels. The product split is 24 weight% gasoline, 57 weight% Jet-Fuel and 19 weight% diesel.
