Herøya Research Park is an integrated part of Herøya Industrial Park and has one of the country's most attractive research environments.
The Research Park gathers together outstanding knowledge of industrial production, based on long experience in production plants all over the world. Here, just under 300 well-qualified researchers are active in the fields of aluminium, fertiliser, oil and energy, petrochemicals etc. The largest research centre is that of Statoil, which conducts activities in the areas of separation and process technology, multi-phase technology, gas technology, environmental technology and new energy solutions.
